Perfect Solution for Old Monitor New PC
Have excellent old monitor that does not have a HDMI or Video slot. This allows a VGA connection to connect to a new PC.

Works well; If the VGA connector is not screwed on tight, the colors are off (but I think that's a general problem with VGA in general)

Priced out of reach
The list price in the store was about $36, pretty unreasonable and I was walking out. A worker in the store who showed me the adapter explained that at the register, they would meet the on line price of about $10. Strange. I wonder how many of people just walk at a ridiculous list price.
