The message about incompatible cartridges can mean that your printer was not designed to use that particular cartridge or it could be caused by other things. If there is a fingerprint or some damage on the contacts the printer’s sensors might mistake it for a bad cartridge. To see if that is the case carefully polish the copper contacts on the cartridge (and the matching ones inside the printer) with lint-free material to see if that helps the connection. Hi Robert I can understand if you're upset by the length of time it lasted. I'm sorry that you had that happen but perhaps you are printing more high-density prints. That would make a difference. Here are things that could help: - Always check to make sure the replacement cartridge you get is properly filled - Make use of the printer's draft mode whenever possible - Shut the printer down between uses - Always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off.
