I think it's very rude and arrogant for a software company to make the assumption that a user will automatically accept having to have data sent to the cloud! Whatever happened to respect for personal privacy? Why would a user spend the extra money for a computer with adequate storage within want any of their data being stored elsewhere??? Your arrogance makes me sic...

Does an impossible job relatively well
PCmover does exactly what it's supposed to do. The technical service people are available and helpful. The only issue is that it is not totally intuitive and you might need a bit of technical expertise to know what to do. For example with the box set you are given an ethernet cable to connect the two machines. For me it was the quickest way to go rather than through m...

Excellent user support
Good experience with the software after an initial hiccup. Installing the program from a CD on one PC and then per instructions downloading program on the second PC results in two incompatible versions at play with the two PCs unable to connect. Transferring data from a windows 10 computer to 11
Transferred Documents OK Did not transfer Microsoft 135. nor screen sharing with another computer.

Not as advertised
It was not easy. It did not move all the files. It did not move all the apps. I had to "chat" at least 4 times to get help. Very frustrating.

Ever so slowly it did the job
PCmover required 64 hours and 7 minutes (their clock) to transfer the programs and data from old to new HP laptop. I could have manually completed the transfer quicker than that.

Horrible Software
This software is horrific. It takes forever to move anything using software only comes with a ethernet cord (new laptops typically don't come with ethernet ports). Waste of money!

I looked up a Video on Youtube to view how it works --- Follow directions and all files will be transfer except Passwords to input later.

Directions should state that BOTH PC's must have exactly the same version of the software. I would suggest downloading to both PC's and not use the CD. Also some license problems on the new PC. Cable seemed to work only in one direction do not know why.

Did not work as expected
I would not recommend this product. It did move some files like pictures etc. The programs were problematic. None of the programs moved over to the new pc worked as expected. Some of the programs I was able to get working with considerable effort. Some programs I could not get to work at all. Also it took a very very long time to do the transfer.
