Perfect for homeschoolers
I received this set to use with my 1st grade daughter. We are a homeschool family and I am always in search of new ideas and methods of teaching math. This book really helped her to work independently with instant feedback from the pen. My daughter worked quickly through both books but she frequently pulls them back out to go through them again. I feel they have been a ...

Issue withwith pen
My daughter has the Hot Dots - Getting Ready for 1st Grade with one reading and one math book. The pen works however, it does not respond correctly with the dots selected. When selecting the correct answer, the pen says the answer is incorrect! Defeats the whole purpose of making learning fun!

Classroom View of Hot Dots Math
I received Hot Dots Grade 1 Math to review with my first grade classroom. They love this product, and so do I! They can use this independently or in a small group. I have used this fabulous resource as a one-to-one tutoring tool as well as a choice during my math centers time. The books are small and spiral bound, so they are easily stored. The wands glow green for a co...

Perfect for Struggling Students
As a child, I struggled with math and had to have extra help for the first 4 years of my school aged life. It was not fun being behind and I always feared my children would inherit that trait. When my 7 year old started falling behind in math i wanted to nip it in the bud fast! Thankfully, I received a Hot Dot Grade One Math kit in for my daughter.
After putting 2 AAA...

Helps with Math Skills
My daughter struggles in math. She doesn't find it fun like reading and she gets frustrated easily. I love that this set makes learning fun for her. She wants to practice math now. It's a great supplement to what she is learning at school. My daughter will ask me if she can play with it which of course I'm more than happy to say yes. This is a great set to buy for when ...

Great Math Learning!
Another great set!. We really love the Hot Dots collection. We started with the Hot Dots Jr Master Kindergarten Math and now are moving on to this grade 1 math set. I thought it would be a great continuation to what he is learning. We thought we would help him get ready for the 1st grade. The set includes a Hot Dots pen and 2 interactive sturdy spiral-bound books. They ...

Fun with Learning
My niece liked her time with Hot Dots Let's Master 1st Grade Math. She spent about a half hour checking out the book and working on the problems. It touched on all different aspects of math preparing her for later. Once in a while I would see her get one wrong just to see her pen react.

Fun way to learn 1st grade math
I received the Hot Dots Let's Master 1st Grade Math kit for review purposes. My daughter is in first grade, and besides art, math is her favorite subject. After going through this set, I would say that the skill level in this booklet is right on par with the math they are learning at school. My daughter is a bit ahead of the curve on math though, so we'll be using the s...

Great for kids and parents!
After Kindergarten Math I was really wary of attempting First grade with my son. I know he is more verse in math now, but the math seems more challenging to me. Luckily the puzzles remained similar just on a higher level, so he knew what he was doing and could puzzle his way through. I guess that's the point, huh? I was glad these books introduced puzzles such as Analog...

Home learning aligned with school.
As and educator and a mom, I love that the format is not only child friendly, but it also prepares kids for the format they will be assessed on in schools. The book is organized by topic, and it is similar to the domains in the common core standards. My kids are having fun and learning. As a mom of triplets, I love that I can give this activity for independent practice ...

Fun educational tool
My son has enjoyed playing with this set. He thinks it's a fun toy, but he's also practicing his math along the way. It starts off easy but gets more difficult as you progress through the books. It comes with the interactive talking pen and two 50 page math workbooks. There are one or two math problems on each page. The concepts included are place value, addition, subtr...

My son has been glued to this game since the day it arrived. It has been the perfect compliment to the instruction he's been getting at school. I love that as he moves along, this can move along with him. They have workbooks that can be added on as he completes each level. He especially loves the "pen". It encourages him to score better each time he uses it. When he's w...

Great way to learn and have fun
This is a great way for children to independently practice and review math facts. Instead of independent 'flashcards' these cards are bound in two spiral books. This ensures that cards aren't lost or misplaced. You can control the volume of the 'pen' which is good for parents and teachers. The positive remarks when a child correctly answers a question is sure to please ...

Great Way to Get Kids to want to Learn
I love this product for my older son. This is really a great way for him to review his math skills and once he has these down there are more books to purchase to help him advance. As well as different subjects than math. He likes to sit down and do work books and this makes it a bit more fun. I think this will be an even better product for over the Summer. Not only to r...
