Interactive Learning at its Best!
I have struggled for months to teach my daughter the alphabet and entice her to learn. Luckily, that all changed when this Hot Dots set arrived! She immediately took to it and went through both books in the first sitting. She continues to ask for these books and loves to go through them. I love watching her improve and FINALLY enjoying learning!

Did not work right out of the box.
We just opened this after being a reward for using the potty. The pen keeps giving an incorrect sound/phrase no matter which dot you touch. Not a good sign for this company's products as this is the first we have purchased.

Babysitter Grammy Review
My grandson is 2 1/2 and I purchased the Phonics, PreK Math and Reading Kits. I wasn't sure he was old enough yet, or would be interested at all, but thought we would try them as playing cars and trucks on a daily basis gets old for Grammy fast. He is a slow talker, but his motor skills are keen, so he was able to hold dog pen straight up and pin point the black dot he ...

Hot Dots Jr. makes learning math fun
My son who just turned 5 loves this set. He loves counting, shapes, numbers, and all of that and so this is more fun than work for him. The dog is a great partner for him as he learns and goes through the books (there are 2 50-page books) and the set has really helped him remember more and learn faster than before. He is in preschool, but this is a great at home resourc...

Fun and Interactive Way to Learn Math
My daughter just started Kindergarten this year so I wanted to make sure I got her some fun learning tools other than boring workbooks. I find kids love to learn with interactive things but I do not always like her on electronics. I prefer more hands on and that is exactly why I love the Hot Dots Jr. Let's Master Pre-K Math set.

Beginner Math Booster!
Great for beginner math, the kids loved counting out the different answers and finding what matched with what. They were having so much fun they didn't even realize they were doing math!

A great way to introduce Math skills
I have 5 year old twin boy and we own a few other Hot Dots Jr sets but this one seems to be their favorite! The interactive pen, "Ace", is adorable. My kids love using him! And he can be used with the other sets too, which is great! (Although "Ollie" the talking Owl is another adorable pen that comes with the other sets, making the choice of which to use quite difficult...

I did it!
We sit down every night with one of the books that comes in this series with the intention of doing only a few pages, but always end up doing the entire book. I use it as a supplement for homeschooling my daughter and she thoroughly enjoys it. I love seeing her face light up when she gets a question correct and even when she misses she is determined to sit and think abo...

Non-Traditional Learning
My daughter is a very reluctant learner. Her preschool teacher sent home flashcards for her to practice using her numbers, but neither of us really enjoy learning that way.
When I gave her the Hot Dots, Jr. Let's Master Pre-K Math set, she was excited to get Ace the Talking Dog for her very own. Act uses sounds, music and/or words to encourage her when she gets the ans...

A Good Push For My 2.5 Year Old
My 2.5 year old son likes this a lot! He likes to learn and prefers educational toys over others. He loves using the Ace the Dog pen but it needs to be treated carefully. I am constantly reminding him it only goes in the book. I like that Ace tells him if the answer is correct or incorrect. This allows him to learn without me constantly saying no. I appreciate that the ...

Great Learning Tool
This has been a great learning tool for my pre-school aged son and he really enjoys using it. Hot Dots Jr. does a very good job at creating content that is both engaging and fun for children. I could not be more pleased with the results I am seeing and improvements my son has by because of using this!

Great Fun While Learning!
The batteries were easy to install, and the set is very kid friendly. My 3 year old has had no trouble operating it on her own. It is also very portable and great for car rides, doctor visits, or even while grocery shopping. A great way to keep kids entertained while teaching them! We will be getting more sets!

Start Math with Fun
This is a great way to help your child master their numbers. However you will need to work with the child unless they can read really well. These books keep them engaged and help make learning fun. Kids love the interaction and fun that they have. No complaints about learning when they use Hot Dots Jr.

Teaches Math in a Fun, Approachable Way
I received the Hot Dots Jr. Pre-K Math set from Educational Insights for review purposes. My daughter goes to pre-school a few days a week, but I have been looking for ideas on how to help get her ready for Kindergarten on the days she's home. I really love this math kit for her. The math is simple enough, but it even covers things like fractions in an approachable way ...

Terrific early skills
My son is a huge fan of the Hot Dots fairytales and reading books, but was a little dubious about the math books. When I told him we had them for him he exclaimed "Oh! That's going to be hard!" I would definitely recommend letting the strengths and interests of your child determined whether you start with the reading or math books.. My son has more interest in words tha...

Great review toy!
My son loves this new toy and it's a great way for him to review his math skills. He especially enjoys that the pen is shaped like a dog and barks, plus you can change the sounds. I like that it has red and green lights for incorrect/correct answers which helps reinforce the concepts. I was hoping that this would be more of an independent toy but it is definitely someth...

Fun AND Educational!
I'm a teacher and a mom of three boys and I received this product for my three-year-old twins. They LOVE dogs, so the doggie pen was PERFECT for them! I was so excited to have a product to work on math skills, and this product did not let me down! There are so many different skills covered, and I love how there are activities the boys can do now and ones they can work o...

We make time everyday to play
Math has never been my strong suit, but this is giving my kids a great start into loving numbers and that makes me happy. This seems pretty on target for Pre-School and I like that the 2nd book has challenge pages. What's even better is my kids get excited with I pull this out to play with. I love doing a 1/2 hour each day and mixing it up with the Math and Reading. The...
