Philips voice tracer digital voice recorder
At first I was a little confused as to how to set up the recorder but once I started it was much easier that I thought. The recording was clear and the ease of pausing/stopping and restarting was easy and quick to do.

We couldn’t get the sound up to hear.what was recorded. Low volume was not good. The product was returned to the store.

Couldn't use with my wireless mic
Bought to use with a wireless mic set using 3.5 mm jack. Did not connect. Returned.

Not intuitive; don't buy it
It replaced a well-worn Sony. It's confusing has low volume output and costs 3 times more than it's worth. You don't want this. User unfriendly.

this is a poor dictaphone
first the volume is low and hard to hear you would need headphones to really hear it well second it is not intuitive I had to play with it for over an hour to figure out how to operate it I took it back for a refund

There is a good reason this has a majority of 1 Star Reviews
Since I purchased this recorder on the way to a job site for a month long tour I mostly likely can not return it now. Only used it once and the recording was terribly light and very hard to hear! It was set up three feet in front of the person who spoke very clearly. I clearly didn't look at the reviews prior to the purchase. I will not do that again. This is not what...

Really useful.
It's good for meetings and the usual stuff but I also wanted to tape my music and be able to sit back and hear how I'm doing and setting the 'scene' to music and with the directional scope of the microphones it does extremely well.

Disappointed
First it did not come with instructions so it was not user friendly to start with. I did manage to figure it out but it could not pick up a voice that was only 20 feet away. Returned it to the store. Very expensive and a disappointment.

Excellent recorder - But Confusing
The recorder is very very good. There isn’t an instruction to be found in the package. Raise the price by a buck and put one in. Going on line to get it is just not right. The speaker is probably the worst going. Earphones or next to your ear to hear it.

Very difficult to use
Very difficult to use For an older adult. Needs to be a lot more simpler. Beyond the scope of a senior citizen.

Returned to store
The picture directions and website did not give me enough information to be able to use the recorder. I returned the recorder to Staples.

This was nearly impossible to figure out without the manual. Not the useless little slip of paper that comes with it but the very useful 23-page PDF on the support tab of the product webpage.
