Unstable
Had a classic Staples SPL-230 for many many years. Loved it. When it seemed to go dead I bought this one which seemed roughly equivalent. Good basic calculator but very unstable. The whole thing moves up and down when using buttons in the lower left corner. The old one was rock solid. The movement of the calculator gets annoying very quickly. Luckily the old one ca...

Recently purchased
A bit early to ask since I very recently purchased; however seems to be a good replacement for that which I had for many years. With 'fingers crossed' I am looking forward to many years with THIS unit. Staples is my 'go-to' store: they are well-stocked and have reasonable prices (and there's always 'deals').

Solar Powered
Just the right size for my home office. It is solar powered so I don't have to depend on batteries which seem to be difficult to acquire now.

Thanks for still making a basic calculator
Thanks to Staples for still making a very affordable basic calculator that works and is more functional than the calculator on my iPhone. The buttons and display are big enough and the calculator sits stably on the table. This thing is inexpensive and it works well exactly what I was looking for and couldn’t find at other stores.

Nice calculator
Well it's a nice calculator. Buttons are easy to see. Buttons press easily and do not stick. It also lays nice and flat with a slight tilt of the display screen for easy visibility.
