Netgear is bad
Horrible router with bad support. Only had this Netgear rax50 router one year and the company wanted to charge me to get it back online after I paid a fortune to purchase it brand new. I purchased a TP Link router and it works flawlessly with no issues. Would never purchase Netgear again Ior recommend anyone mess with this company.

Works well
I had to run the set up a few times for some reason, it stalled. But eventually, I got everything up and running and has been running well since I installed it a few weeks ago. I have FIOS and finally replaced the equipment that came with the service hoping to upgrade my coverage, which it did. Now it covers my whole house along with my backyard and patio area.

Sat In The Box
I bought a refurbished unit which sat in the box for several months. When I did open the box, I found that one of the antenna mounts was loose. Had some issues with the installation but all turned out well.

Not a fan
I purchased this router thinking it would be an upgrade from my previous Netgear router and still allow me to use old router as a WAP and with the WiFi6 Nighthawk mesh system. Trying to setup private network to use static IP and this router has nothing but issues

failure after 18 months
I bought this in late 2023. It worked great at first, but now it won't stay connected for more than a few minutes at a time, requiring repeated shutdown and restarts.

Very Good for livestreaming
Very good router for livestream. We are currently streaming at 720p and looking to move up to 1080p. The old Cudy router didn't handle 1080p. We also use up to 3 cellphones running Droidcam OBS and needed updated tech to handle the network load. The RAX50 is doing the job.

Buffering
My Nighthawk wifi is probably doing its job but I am still having problems with buffering during prime time hours. I have even bought a Netgear extender but it still is buffering.

Happy with the Router
I've been using the NETGEAR Nighthawk AX5400 (RAX50) with my 500 Mbps Spectrum connection in a 2-bedroom apartment, and it's been fantastic. The speed is consistently fast, even with 20 connected devices, including smart home gadgets, gaming consoles, and streaming devices. There’s no noticeable lag or buffering, even when multiple devices are in use at the same time.
