Not compatible with new computers
For something that is only a couple years old it's disgraceful that it will not operate on my Surface Pro computer running Windows 11. Isn't even recognized. It seems that a majority of brother scanners cannot be run on arm processors. Ridiculous for such a major company

Good product, didn't ring up at the correct price. At staples, it is always an argument to get the price on the shelf or the price in the ad. They always change the price, but as a customer I shouldn't have to check everything twice, walk back to where the item was placed, bring the tag from the shelf, and prove it is the same item. No longer like it
It used to work good. They did an update and now I can't scan anything as a PDF and I don't get the option to add another page. I no longer like it!

Great little machine
We bought this scanner after buying and returning a couple other new printers and scanners. One was too large and one was too ridiculously hard to even set up. This scanner is small and thin. It had an easy setup and scanned many documents in a row without issues. We’re very happy with this great product.

Not What I Expected
Unfortunately the scanner is not what I expected. It works fine but is clumsy to awkward to scan. The software is slow. I have to open and close the scanner each time I use it to reset.

Fast load to computer
After contacting help line was able to get connected to computer. It is very fast to scan and load to computer. Has done job needed very quickly and actually. Compact and light weight yet easy to use with great results.

Your device are not easy to use.
Guys I am a IT person of 40 years. The brother devices are hard to work with. You have to make the device easy to use. I brought a printer from you guys. HL-L2370DW. I still have a hard time printing to this printer. If i power off the printer. The nic card is off be default. That is just wrong. If i could return the printer back to staples I would. Shame o...

difficulty with set up
works ok when you get the setup figured out, has to be on a flat surface in order not to jam, otherwise it works well

Good hardware, inconvenient software
The scanner is quite good, but the software is very inconvenient.
1) Each workflow takes a square inch of the screen. I have more than 20 so it is hard to find the one I want. The list SHOULD be customizable like Windows Explorer - small icons, big icons, list with details, sortable by date, name, or number of images in the folder.

An Excellent Performing Portable Scanner
I was very pleasantly surprised with just how portable yet very efficient the DS-640 scanner is. Very EASY to use very much worth the investment

Efficient little scanner
I bought this scanner to scan receipts so I can track purchases for a senior center that I volunteer at. It was easy to set up and use. Best part it wasn't overly expensive. Works really well.

DS-640 portable scanner
The scan resolution is very good and I like the portability of the unit. The software could have more features, but the scanner itself is worth it.
