This device is a great example of what a combo device should be. There's tons of features you can read about in the above but the one feature that I appreciate the best is the fact that the firmware for the modem is now separate from the router portion. Great Performance, But Died After 48 Hours
I love the performance and the capabilities, but 48 hours after start up, it completely died and will not power on. Tested the power supply and it is good, but no power on. It's going back to the store and will be replaced with another brand as this has caused me to lose faith in Netgear.

Excellent Router
Easy to set-up and a great improvement over the Xfinity provided router/modem. Internet speed is faster and the range is excellent.

Provides decent performance, but expensive
At today’s tech growth and product longevity these can be considered a consumable item. The performance is adequate, although I’d like to see more features for tracking data through the internal network. Overall this item is priced too high for what it is and how soon it will be replaced.

Horrible!! The router password wouldn't work. Called 2 days in a row and talked to technician both days over an hour troubleshooting. End result!! Still waiting on new router

Nighthawk CAX80
Received the unit next day and installed it that morning. Installation was easy and only took about 30 minutes. So far it's working as expected. The phone app has been very useful and simplifies configuring the settings.

Great Upgrade for Gigabit service
NETGEAR Nighthawk Cable Modem WiFi 6 Router Combo (CAX80). Needed a new cable modem router to use my higher Internet service speeds. This router allowed the full bandwidth.

Quick and seamless
The app let me set up the nighthawk modem router fast and easily, speeds are very fast and it even scans my system for suspicious activity. Love Netgear.

Great Modem
Purchased after having all sorts of issues with modem provided by Xfinity. Since moving to this new modem have not had any problems. Great investment.

Almost perfect

Such A Great Machine
I bought this Nighthawk after renting a cable modem from Xfinity for over 4 years at $15 a month. It took only about 15 minutes to set up and seems way faster than the rented Xfinity one I had. It looks great and works even better. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a cable modem router combo.

Works good
Bought this to get out of paying Xfinity $15/mo modem rental fees. The instructions guide you through getting it setup on your account however it still require contacting Xfinity to activate it properly.
Not a fan of all the up-sell subscriptions that are embedded in the modem.
