Needs to have it current
The modem I received is from 2020, and even though they say firmware is uptodate, the components are old. Besides, wifi only covers 1500 Sq feet, when other similar priced modem routes give upto 5000 sq feet range. Even my older C7800 was much better than this one. Hopefully netgear will come up with updated CAX80 soon.

Great product, easy install
This product has been exactly as advertised. Easy installation, great performance, I like the management app and the Armor app is interesting, haven't had a change to exercise all the features yet.

Modem is GREAT, WIFI... Hmmm
Note: I am doing merging the 2.5 and 5G networks, maybe that could improve speed, but with everything else the same, and just swapping out the Internet Supplier Modem with this one, it is super fast through the direct ports, and saves money from renting from the provider... CAX80
Best modem to date. Eliminates rental fees from local provider. There is no need for wifi extender because built in router sends singal through whole home. Also, great parental controls on app.

Superior Range
Our old router struggled to provide WiFi to a video baby monitor on the other side of the house. The coverage and quality is perfect after setting up our new CAX80. Would recommend to a friend.

I purchased this because Netgear said my previous modem/router was out of date and wouldn't receive any more updates. It literally works the same as my older one.
