Great combo device
This device is a great example of what a combo device should be. There's tons of features you can read about in the above but the one feature that I appreciate the best is the fact that the firmware for the modem is now separate from the router portion. Great Performance, But Died After 48 Hours
I love the performance and the capabilities, but 48 hours after start up, it completely died and will not power on. Tested the power supply and it is good, but no power on. It's going back to the store and will be replaced with another brand as this has caused me to lose faith in Netgear.

NETGEAR cax80
The cax80 is amazing. All my devices are connected and working great.the 2.5 gig port is all the difference when playing games online.

This is a great cable modem/router. It’s very easy to setup and it’s very fast. Also, you get a 2.4ghz and 5G plus yo get a 2.4ghZ and 5G guest setups. With the guest logins you can print out a QR code for each one and can just have your guests scan the QR code to log in without having to provide any details.

No complaints so far
My ISP (WOW) was giving me issues, even after upgrading my internet speed package, still was slow with buffering and drop issues. Researched and swapped out their equipment for this modem/router combo and my service has been better. I would recommend so far.

Works Great
Haven't had any problems so far. I've always had good luck with Neatgear products. I had to upgrade because my old router wasn't fast enough for my current internet speeds and it's been doing an excellent job. I also like that it's able to connect more devices since we have quite a few we use daily.

Fast speeds, great monitoring software
Upgraded from a Netgear DOCSIS 3.0 to the new 3.1 Nighthawk and immediately got better speeds through my ISP. The trial software/app that came with the modem is great for monitoring and managing the modem/routers features. Highly recommend this product

Super easy to set up and install. Instantly had access to WiFi and the speeds that run through this modem/router are great. Highly recommend this product!

Excellent choice!
I am very happy I selected Negear Nighthawk CAX80. It's a combination of a modem and wi-fi router in one. It was very easy to setup just following prompts in the app. Now my internet is flying and wi-fi is strong everywhere in the house. I am one happy customer!

Not Terrible
The nighthawk isn't terrible, however when I finally got it all set up it would cut in and out at first. Now is good, speeds seem kind of on the lower end. If you have Xfinity, you have to call them to get it set up.

Amazing upgrade
Had been wondering why I wasn’t getting the 600 mbs my internet provided said I should be getting. My current device was rated up to 600 mbs so I figured I should be getting that. Sadly I averaged 250-300. As soon as I installed this device I was getting up to 675 mbs! Definitely worth the upgrade.

Stronger connection
Upgraded from a different Netgear router/modem that was ~6 years old. The new one was easy to set up and has a much stronger connection.

Avid user of this brand
Been a gamer for decades lol, always used nighthawk with no problems. This new one seems to drop Wi-Fi even nearby. Not sure why. But that’s my only issue for my rog alley or tablets. Hardwired is perfect.
