HP Firmware Inhibitor
The firmware on the Officejett 7740 will not accept the refurbished cartridge. Message will appear after installation and will not print thereafter.

HP firmware updates block these cartridges
Recent HP firmware updates for my HP 8710 printer block use of non-HP cartridges. If there is a way to go back to previous firmware version, I could not find it.

Does not have HP Chip
These do not work for any HP Printer that need HP chips in the cartridges. My Printer would not read unless HP. Unfortunate because they were a more affordable option. Make sure your printer does not require the HP chips. HP Printer Firmware will block printing.

Not functional
Required by my company as a replacement for HP toners. First cartridge installed okay, second did not - non-HP chip blocked by firmware error - and I have been unable to print anything for a week while waiting for my company IT team to respond.

I usually always use the staples brand, this pack ONLY, one out of 2 worked, the other two said that the chip was not readable with my HP printer. I called the number and they are sending me new ones, I was told that HP did an update to not accept the chips and staples had to update them. If I get the new cartridges I will be happy.

Did not work with HP Printer
Did not work with HP Printer as noted. This is due to printer been updated per instructions. Cartridges should work IF you never have updated you printer.
