do not buy
there should be a note stating these are not easily compatible with HP printers but there is not. They want you to alter/remove firmware of printer to use which requires you calling and wasting time for assistance. Would rather pay additional for the name brand than lose money by opening and not being able to return.

Not recognized with my HP Officejet Pro6978
The ink was not registering as full in my printer screen. Said it needed to be replaced. Would not buy again.

Tru Red Ink
Item was supposed to be Staples Ink 902 compatible with my HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 and it was not compatible with my printer.

Awful!
Got the full set of these- none of them worked in my HP Officejet Pro printer. Followed the troubleshooting directions but still no luck. Finally called and they sent me a replacement set and guess what? THEY DON'T WORK EITHER! Will take them back to Staples- meanwhile the printer hasn't worked in over a week and I am not a happy camper. Plus the replacement one leaked...

Not compatible
I thought this would work as a substitute..not true. My HP printer stated it was not authentic. I’m not sure if there is a way to change the parameter in the printer but I had to buy another cartridge that was compatible. I’m returning this cartridge.

I ordered HP ink. Received Staples brand that was not compatible. Called and was told I would get a replacement. Second order same thing. I will order directly from HP.

Installed ink in my HP printer…printer reject the ink since they were all opened I couldn’t return them so threw them out

Not compatible
Ordering and delivery was fine. However my HP will not allow the use of anything but HP cartridges. Staples should not sell this product and advertise that it is compatible.

LEAKED ALL OVER THE PLACE
Been handling the HP printer cartridges for years. Thought I've give this brand a try. First cartridge right out of the package (yellow) leaked all over my hands and ruined a shirt. Sending the rest back without even opening them. Don't do it. Just don't do it.

wrong ink
Wrong ink for my Epson printer - no idea why Staples offers if for the Epson WF C5290. Only good thing was that the local Staples store took it back and gave me credit.

Rejected by printer
These cartridges were rejected by my HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 and printer would not print with them or after with re-installed older HP cartridges. Tried several web-recommended work arounds to no avail. More the fault of HP I think but a depressing end to a decent printer.
