My old PS-79C Fellowes shredder needed replaced after about 12 years. I was very happy with my last FELLOWES shredder which is why I decided to pick up another. excellent shredder
bought this shredder to shred lot's of files ( 15 file tubs )
it works as advertised , like that it has a longer run time and shorter cool off period

Best shredder for the money!
I've gone through many cheap shredders in the past and I finally decided to spend a little more on this model. This shredder is a very solid model, quiet but powerful and I'm able to quickly process my papers without having to fiddle with the unit. Great home shredder
Recently purchased this shredded - so far no jams - running very smoothly. Only remarks is that it sometime gives what I describe as a kick back on occasions like a little bang. We have also noticed a spark - very bright white spark in st least 3 occasions - don’t know why this had happened! Orherwise s great shredder.

Excellent Paper Shredder
Just purchased this shredder after having various shredders over the last few years. It is a lovely quality shredder very sturdy and solid. It works extremely well and has a large paper collection bin so you can shred a lot of paper. So far so good, very pleased with it.

Great mid-sized shredder

This model is perfect for home use to purge yearly files with taxes and investments papers. The caveat is the main body is of thin plastic construction with wheels. Wheels don't work well on carpets. Fellowes Powershred LX85
I just set it up and haven’t used it yet. It is much smaller than I expected but it is all I need as this time in my life. It has a lot of safety features and rolls easily so I can access the on/off switch - the only thing I find a little different from other shredders. It was shipped very quickly and I appreciate that since Staples doesn’t have a store in my area.

Almost great
Just got this shredder today. Really easy to assemble, no issue with getting it to run. I just find it a bit unfortunate that although there is a removal bin to make it easier to empty and keep things cleaner, when removing the bin paper pieces do fall from the shredder and go on the floor.

Shreds beautifully! However, to make things perfectly clear, when listed as "14 sheets per pass," it doesn't mean 14 sheets at a time as I was told by the tech on the live chat line. Good but not great.
Purchased one of these shredders as we had 12 years of old documents to destroy. While this shedder does do a good job, it does have it's drawbacks. There is no way that it will handle 12 sheets at a time. I find that it struggles with more than 4-5 sheets of standard stock paper and less with thicker paper stock. Hi Warren. Thank you for sharing your experience and feedback. Your unit is designed to shred 12 sheets of 20lb paper so if you are shredding heavier paper, it may take less. Secondly, thank you for reminding users about the importance of oiling the blades! We recommend doing this every time the basket is emptied. If it isn't oiled, the unit will experience diminished sheet capacity, intrusive noise, or may eventually stop running. Lastly, vents are included on the head of the unit.
