Be Careful if you need non-Microsoft applications
We bought this Asus VivoBook as a lightweight laptop for vacation and travel purposes. It serves our needs very well. However, be aware that the machine arrives running Windows 10S which means that it can only run applications downloaded from the Microsoft Windows Store. Stopped working after one day, returned it
We bought this for my daughters birthday, we set it all up, security software and all. The next day, we turn it on, and the screen wouldnt let her sign in, returned and bought lenovo, and love it

Great computer
I got this computer as a gift and have loved it! It's simple and easy to use, has great features like back-lit keyboard, touch screen, and more! I needed a new computer, as I'm going back to school, and this is a great simple laptop for that!

Had what I needed except an optical drive.
I've only had this laptop for a couple of weeks. Bought as a replacement for my previous Asus. Thus far I'm happy with it. Has a fast response and the screen is very sharp.

Asus VivoBook is great.
This laptop is perfect for my travel needs, very light, great screen, Core I3 responds well. The keyboard is backlit, the white print on it is hard to read but not a big deal. The sale price made it a real bargain.

A nice economical "home" computer. We were told that this model would be obsolete within a year due to its RAM limits. No So! According to the manufacturer the RAM and SSD can be upgraded quite easily. That makes this PC even a better value!

I have an ASUS laptop that is everything I need. When I saw this ASUS laptop and McAfee Security Software online at Staples, I bought it ASAP. I'm glad I did. My local Staple's set up and downloaded the McAfee software and made sure everything was ready to go. It works great and my wife loves it.

Excellent quality

Stay away from Windows 11 (Remember Vista?)
The computer itself seems quite proficient. The problem is you have to jump thru the same hoops for windows as other models. You are forced to open an outlook account even if you don't want one. Good luck trying to remember the password in six months. Whatever you do don't upgrade to Windows 11. Nothing but trouble if you do.
