Love these paper mate pencils
I've used these pencils for many years but could not find them until I checked Quill. I used to purchase from Quill when I worked in an office and made supply purchases and have always been satisfied with Quill.

Inferior
Item totally unsatisfactory. Lead breaks too easily and - if it doesn't break it falls back inside. It may have been a good product in the past but no more.

My Favorite!
These have have been my favorite pencils for decades! Lead is quite steady. Erasing doesn’t effect the lead.

Mechanical pencils are a must in my household.
I found these pencils while attending Junior college. Pencil sharpeners were hard to find In classrooms and writing notes was constant and without delay. These pencils have a good erasers. Other click down for the lead have erasers that make an awful mess on paper and you cannot write over the area. I can’t be without them. I recommend them for all students.

It's fine
The only reason I gave it a four star is that occasionally they would seem to have softer lead and not write quite as clearly. Otherwise I like them and buy them exclusively. Being able to twist the end to lengthen the lead is far better than the Bic type that you have to push the end and try to get a small lengthening of the lead. Also Bic's erasers don't work well...

Break Easily Don't Last Long
Not too long after purchasing these pencils most of them broke or fell apart. Not worth the money.

These are my family's favorite pencils. My brother has stated that he looks forward to these more than anything at Christmas and he's serious. The erasers stay fresh forever. We use them for many things but they are the best pencils for sudoku and crossword puzzles.
