Adequate
Reasonably priced and adequate for the job. But printed instructions are terrible. Miniature diagrams and no written instructions on how to assemble the mounting mechanism. Fortunately I Googled “Bostitch” and found a video of a similar product. Written instructions could have at least directed me there.

Replacement work table lamp
I visited three stores in my area looking for a lamp. Staples is the only one who had a swing arm lamp. I got the last one they had. It works OK but is no looker. I dislike the large 'bell' and the stamped metal frame. Otherwise it's functional.

Simple adjustable effective
The lamp uses standard A15 screw-in sockets do I can replace the included bright white lamp with any coloured LED depending on the project I'm working on can use incandescent 25W spot-bulbs as needed. Bostitch Led Desk Lamp VLF100
Had nice brightness but was not 36" long as the packaging indicated. I needed a minimum of 36" and it was less than that. Cheaply made too.

Light switch stopped working and clamp is poor
Less than a year after purchase the light switch stopped working reliablly. I would switch the lamp on and after a minute the light would go out. Tapping the light would sometimes make it come back on. Even when the switch was in the off position tapping the light would make it come on. Also the clamp does not securely hold the lamp to my table. Look at it cross-eye...

This lamp is just like the one I had when I was in high school 60 years ago. Once you have it aimed where you want it stays in place until you are ready to move it. Use it in your office or attach it to a side table in your den - it fits in everywhere.
