The cord is behind the panel on the back, out-of-box. The dial is easy to read, this is well-designed radio, good sound.

Pretty good radio
This radio looks great and works well. My only comment would be that the volume knob doesn’t really provide much of a volume variance from low to high. It’s just a low-middle to a higher middle, without a very definite loud volume. But in most uses, this volume level is adequate.
