This shredder was a very disappointing purchase. It’s very loud when shredding information. I paid almost 170.00 and it’s not worth that kind of expenditure. When I tried to register the shredder the last section ask you to check the box if you are not a robot. It wouldn’t clear so I tried to enter the data three times and was never able to submit my registration. ...

Just used for a couple of days and am very pleased with the performance It is quite and smooth operational

Overheats fast
It seem to overheat after shredding more than 20 sheets continually. Not happy that I have to stop and start to shred a pile of papers.

Hi Donna. Thank you for sharing your experience. We are sorry you are having issues with your shredder! The 15C is designed to run continuously up to 10 minutes. After 10 minutes it will automatically go to a cool off mode and require 45 minutes to rest. It sounds like your unit is shutting down prematurely so please call customer service to troubleshoot the unit and be by the shredder when you call. The number is conveniently located on a label adhered to the shredder. We are here to assist you!

The reviews said that Fellowes and TruRed both had the best ratings of shredders and the local Staples had both available. The Fellowes shredder looked sturdier and the price was right.
