Best Printer I've Ever Owned
Granted I've only owned 2 other printers before this, but it is by far the best. It's incredibly easy to set up (unlike HPs thanks to their app), the print quality is excellent, and it prints incredibly quickly. Print heads clog easily
Print heads clog easily even using Brother INk exclusively. The printer has a regular self cleaning routine designed to eliminate this problem, but if you check the youtube channels, this occurs far too frequently. Cleaning is a tedious,messy job that doesn't last long. I had high hopes for this printer. Should have been a workhorse. But I can't print in color anymore...

Printers Jams
This is a great printer. Except that it keeps paper jamming. I have followed all instructions.Nothing seems to fix it long term. I have to repeatedly unjam the stuck paper and try again. I usually get about 2 printed lately before it jams again. Thats an inconvenience. I’m hoping I don’t have to invest in fixing the printer as it’s used minimally.

Extremely slow printer
I immediately regretted purchasing this printer. It takes almost 3 prints per page to print. It reminds me of a dot matrix printer from my college years back in the 90’s. I wasn’t impressed with Brothers customer service either. After failing to solve an issue, and on the call for 1 hour and 20 minutes,I was hung up on without solving the issue.

Update issue needs resolution
Works great. The only issue so far is trying to update. I get a notification and when I try to update it gives me an incorrect password message. I've not changed it and I'm reading it right off the back of the machine. Most annoying!!!

Quiet & quick (only prints 1 page side) printer
Very nice printer. Have only one issue with it. It doest print on both sides of the paper. Miss this feature from my older printer. But overall the printer is quiet & quick

Don’t buy
Setting up wireless internet is difficult. Once connected printer does not always stay connected.

So far the Best
This is my fifth printer. I had HPs before this one. This was harder for
me to set up, but worth it. The cartridges were eady to put in and I like the design. It prints faster than the others.

Fast and Quiet - but . . .
I have had the MFC-J1205W now for about a month and overall am very pleased with the speed and quality of the print. Currently I'm frustrated with the printer because for no reason I can find - the wifi has stopped working, and I don't believe there is a way to print with a USB connection. Paper feed awkward
Although the print quality is quite good, this printer is awkward to use. The paper feeder has to be removed to insert paper, making it a real pain to insert 1 sheet to print on scrap paper. Also the printer never seems to shut off, a waste of energy.

Mostly good
This printer is easy to set up and use. So far, the ink is lasting through heavy use. However, I find the colors to be somewhat washed out looking, not vibrant. This is concerning since I'm an art instructor and use printouts of photos for art references.

Best choice for excellent service simple operation
This is by far the simplest easiest most direct printer I have had. Two side printing is a snap. Reloading ink is so easy. I would recommend this printer.

Not one year of ink!
They advertise it as one year of Ink included. I ran out of Ink one month After having it. Was the main reason I purchased the printer. Also in order to print double-sided, you need to print one side, take it out, flip it, and then put it back in to print the other side, very inconvenient. Stopped connecting to WiFi
Was a great printer, for about a year. Will not connect to WiFi anymore. Had to purchase a cable to use it.

Good printer. Horrible software.
Printer is hood but the orinter driver apparently never gets installed in windows 11. The iprint icon in the tray always say printer driver needs installed and it never changes. Install program never completes znd always stops at you need to.install the driver. Good printer. Horrible software.
