So easy to use
We love this expansion gate because it's easy for the kids to use and for grown ups to use with full hands - we use these to protect rooms from the dogs and it's perfect for that. No pinched fingers, no complicated hooks or latches!

60" wide, swings out of the way, doesn't block the opening
I needed a 60" wide gate (French doors) to keep my pets out of one room. The Evenflo best meets the need: it's 60" wide, it can open from either side (that's an improvement from one-sided gates I used with the babies many years ago), and best of all it swings out of the way to let you use the entire opening. Many other models of wide gates block part of the opening.

Not for children
I use it to keep my dogs out of the kitchen. I'm 73 years young and the dog's get in my way.

Looks like a great gate how ever we can not use because one side of my staircase has a rod iron railing.

This is my second favorite baby gate
This one is almost as good as my primary baby gate, I use this one for one door in my house that needed a different type of baby gate.

I was in need
I was in need of a gate for an opening in my kitchen, but I was having trouble finding one that was wide enough. This gate turned out to be just what I was looking for. The installation was very easy, and sets up within minutes. I mainly got this gate to keep my pups out of the kitchen, but occasionally I will use it for my kiddos as well. I reccomend this gate!

Lasted for years. We have a step up that we didn’t want our son to fall from. This was a perfect solution. We have an unusually large area doorway that this was perfect for. Easy to use and stays up well.

Cheap
The appearance is nice. Although mine came with a dent in it on top so it’s super noticeable. It isn’t sturdy, and it definitely takes two hands to open. Overall, not worth the money, you can get something easier to use for the price.
