Exactly what I needed.
The manufacturer USB C to HDMI adapter for my Dell laptop started to get flaky. At first I though it was the monitor but some troubleshooting narrowed it down tot he adapter itself. The Phillips adapter was available immediately at the store around the corner from my house and I dashed over and picked it up. Not the least expensive, perhaps, but the most timely. It plug...

Wrong adapter
Don’t know why the young technical support person didn’t know what adapter I needed. Thankfully an old geezer here at the old people’s home knew better and loaned me his adapter, which saved my presentation.

Does not work with all laptops
I have an Apple Macpro laptop this did not work with my HDMI cable to my monitor. I was glad I had no trouble

The cable connects but displays intermittently.
I just wanted it to work. The monitor blacks out. I mess with the connections which are not reliable.

Does not allow my monitor to be recognized
USB-C to HDMI is obviously supposed to connect an HDMI enabled monitor to connect to a PC for use. When I plug it in, the PC can't recognize and find the monitor.
I've insured that all drivers for my PC and docking station are up-to-date. There are not any drivers offered for the actual cable.

connecting HDMI device to usb c hdmi mode display
I didn't buy this product, but like a lot, I think this again doesn't connect HDMI devices to usb c displays, it's not bidirectional compatible, just one way.
