HP 83A black toner cartridge
HP printers and cartridges are usually a good value. Never had a problem with HP refills. A bit pricey is my only negative comment.

Grossly overpriced but there is a difference.
Grossly overpriced for what it is. However there IS a difference between the real HP toners and the refills from Cartridge World. Blacks are blacker and details are sharper -- and I ain't even a graphic designer or typographer and I can still tell the difference.

Tonor Cartridges
I have tried bargain cartridges and just dont get the output. The original ones seem to give me better production.

Don't last too long need more toner in cartrige.
I like the way it prints but don't last too long and spend too much on buying it very often.

Disappointed after my last 2 HP printers and ink cartridges.
Yields up to 500 pages and NOT 1500. The machine recalibrates over and over and over...

Toner Review for HP Laser Printer - HP 8
I have given it a 4 star review. It would be a 5 star review if it had more capacity than it does. As with other toners you provide a regular (A) and a larger (x). There are no (x) toners for this particular machine. I am troubled because (I use 3 of these printers) one of the printers crashed and when I contacted HP I was told there wasn't support for this particular...

High Yield -
HP original item. 83X is a little cheaper per page than the 83. Wish the store would stock this one but ordering on-line and picking up at the store is easy. I would recommend it.

very good toner
I had tried the store brand or generic toner and have returned to HP. The pages always have a sharper crisper print. The last cartridgeI used I tracked the reams of paper used and I got at least 1500 pages probably much more as I print on both sides of the paper much of the time printing tax forms so that is a lot of toner per page used.

Page yield
I am not sure we are getting the 2 000 page yield out of the cartridge that is specified. But perhaps the ink density that is on our printed page is greater than the 5% density that the cartridge yield is based upon. Is there a way to determine the density of a page? Also I wish my Staples store stocked the higher yielding version of the HP 83A the 83X.
