it appears to be defective
the black cartidge light is blinking replace cartidge and it wont' print. It printed very light before i purchase and replaced the new cartridge

HP 61 Black INK
The ink is fine and still work in the printer well the price is outrages as usual. I do a lot of printing and chose not to use the other printing programs because they are scams!!! tried the XL and it allowed me to print 20 pages more for 23 dollars more (huh) Will get a better printer in the near future the ink is cheaper for the newer printers.

Cartridge did not work
My printer could not communicate with the new color cartridge. I’m not sure I still have my receipt but I need to exchange it for a new cartridge

hp #61 Black ink cartridge
Not opened yet for use. However i have used this ink before for 5 years. I believe it has the same safety and surpurb qualities as before. What more to say or comment ? Yes I would recommend this product It has brilliant color tone. It makes a rich sparkle that brings out the clear lines of facial attributes. S.W. Dyer

Now They Can Stop
Since they keep sending me requests for a review I'll give them one. The printer I bought it for died before I ever installed this cartridge. I returned it for ink that goes with my new printer.

Good ink but way too expensive!!!
I use hp inks but I find them to be way too expensive for what you get. The stores are often out of stock for the popular models and you end up buying the standard yield instead of the XL cartridges. I've been loyal to hp but I'm going to start looking at alternatives to see if there are any less expensive options. I'm not an expert in printer technology but why can...

Please replenish your supply in store. I've visited 3 times wanting to buy HP 61 black and color and the shelves were empty. They need replenishing fast.
