Difficult
You have to unwrap each individual printer cartridge and then open the ink with a orange lever that is difficult to do. It's a hassle and a pain Lots of other HP ink you don't have to do this. And the printer is also a piece of junk. Do not buy

Too expensive. I note that other HP sets can cost almost half a much but we apparently have to match the printers original ink set. Other than that the ink and the printer do the job.

HP ink cartridge refill
HP ink cartridge refill. The people there help me get the best deal with a 4 pack. They also worked with me on a refund. I’m always happy with Staples.

Hi there I am sorry that this happened to you. That is odd. If you checked the ink levels and found no ink the cartridge could have been defective and should be returned to the seller. On the other hand if you do have ink in the cartridge it is probable that the printhead inside the printer is clogged and not allowing ink through to the paper. There is a cleaning routine available from the printer's menu used to clear them out. The routine might need to be run more than once to clean out the clogs completely. Mary HP Care hp.com/support

Hi William I am sorry that your cartridges didn't print longer. I can imagine how disappointing that must have been. To prevent this problem: - Turn the printer off when it is not being used - Always use the power button on the printer itself to turn your printer off. That gives it time to position the cartridge so it is protected from excessive drying which leads to clogs. - When it is appropriate you can change the setting to print with black only - Make use of the printer's draft mode whenever possible - Get the XL version of the cartridges. They last longer and most find them a better value - Subscribe to Instant Ink then you only pay by the page not for the cartridges themselves Mary HP Care hp.com/support

Good quality; steep price increase
While I'm very satisfied with the quality of the cartridges the cost has nearly doubled in the past year. Very disappointing.
