Difficult
You have to unwrap each individual printer cartridge and then open the ink with a orange lever that is difficult to do. It's a hassle and a pain Lots of other HP ink you don't have to do this. And the printer is also a piece of junk. Do not buy

Hp printer ink
HP ink works well. The initial cartridges that come with a new printer do not last long. Also no low ink warning.

As soon as I installed the printer worked fine. I had bought 2 others that were not original HP but said to be compatible but did not work at all.

I ran out of ink in the middle of a project and ordered this ink from Staples next day delivery. My order arrived earlier than expected at a great price allowing me to finish my project. I highly recommend Staples for all your office supplies and equipment needs!

The ink that came with my new inkjet printer ran out pretty quickly. I only replaced the black cartridge with the XL so far. It seems to work well.

new ink for new printer
I really have very little experience with this particular HP ink. I've only had the printer for a few weeks but I've always had great quality with HP ink with a different number for a previous printer.
