Difficult
You have to unwrap each individual printer cartridge and then open the ink with a orange lever that is difficult to do. It's a hassle and a pain Lots of other HP ink you don't have to do this. And the printer is also a piece of junk. Do not buy

HP Ink Cartridges
The store is very nice in the clerk who checked me out was very polite and very efficient. The cartridges are way over priced but that’s the case everywhere.

Two of the ink cartridge when open leaked ink all over. Not happy cleaning up colored ink. Be careful when you pull the tab.

Hi Karl What a shame! Leaked cartridges create quite a mess. There are several actions to take in the future. As you stated be very careful with the tabs. Hi there Kelly Three hundred letters would only amount to a few pages. I apologize that one of our cartridges yielded such a low result. That outcome would be highly unusual for our ink cartridges. There are a few things you can do going forward. Check for a leak in the cartridge. I would also assess the print quality settings. If neither of those solutions provides relief consider a return. I think there is les ink in these cartridges yet the price is already ridiculously high. Going to dump this old style printer and buy the refillable ink type...
