What a time saver!!
I have taken on the daunting task of putting the family photos in digital format. This scanner has made it so much easier than using a flat bed scanner. Good for documents when recognized
This device is great for scanning documents if you're lucky enough to get it recognized by your machine. It is very trick to get it recognized by my PC and using the register repair download works sometimes, sometimes not. The color processing for photos oversaturates the colors and as others have noted cannot be disabled.

Returned - did not work well
Did not remove red eye as it said. The scans came out very dark even with adjustments.

Works well for grey scale (black and white) photo's
The color correction is not very good and does not distorts human subjects at times. If there was a way of totally disabling the color correction and let the user use Photoshop for this task it would be great. I was expecting more from Canon
It certainly is a nice scanner but it's performance leaves a lot to be desired. First I do not like the scan app. It is very difficult to name your documents easily. Have to go thru a weird process that is not simple or easy to use. There is also an issue with whether the scanner in cannon app or even in Adobe recognized double sided documents or not. piece of garbage
this scanner is bad. it is slow the colors are way off from the original and no combination of settings seems to fix it. i have used other bulk scanners and i have to say this is the worst. the only redeeming thing about it is that it scans things in the proper order to keep them organized but the software doesn't create subfolders even when prompted to.

Good Luck...
An expensive piece of machinery and time consuming venture in getting this to connect. New, high end computer will not read the USB connection from the scanner. Wonderful!

Great scanner

Being able to put a bunch of photos at ones and once and flow thru the process quickly. The scan quality is pretty dang good too.

Like a lot of offices working semi-remotely and trying to be as paperless as possible, a scanner is a must have. Great addition to my home office.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this scanner because it is able to scan a stack of recites. This has save us a bunch of time having to set at the scanner and load them in one by one. The quality of the pictures that is uploaded are amazing as well.
