Leaves streaks on paper
I made it about half way through the toner cartridge and suddenly it started leaving a streak down the right side of the paper. I took it out cleaned the roller inside and replaced it. It worked well for about 50 pages and then did the same thing. I will not be buying this product again.

Chip doesn't work...
Did not work. Got 2 toners and each one did not work. The HP printer showed an error message about the memory/chip.

Staples Remanufactured Toner Cart
So far so good. While the Mfg. product indicated ~10K pages on high yield toner the staples did not state the number pages but it does appear to be about the same. Third time using the staples brand and will continue for the savings.

Staples remanufactured 58a Cartridge
Neither of these worked in our printer. It is too late for us to return them but I do not recommend buying the Staples brand of this cartridge. We will buy HP from now on.

The Staples Toner Cartridges do not work in HP printers because there is an error that comes up on the printer that says that it must have an HP chip. Please do not sell these as compatible.

Does not work with printers needing HP chip
This cartridge does not come with an HP compatible chip and does not work in our HP printer. There is a sticker that comes on the cartridge saying to disable auto firmware updates on the printer and gives a website for further instructions. Even after multiple attempts to follow instructions still did not work. Returned for a full refund and bought an HP cartridge.

Time will tell
As soon as I put a new cartridge in the printer I buy a replacement so I always have one on hand. Consequently it may be a year or more before I need to put this one in. I decided to roll the dice and trust this item will be equivalent to the OEM in every way or that at least it won't screw up my printer.
