Why does it need the App
Very happy with the Cricut Hat Press - which of course can be used to attach badges to other items as well - jackets and jeans for example.
Found it odd that I couldn't just turn it on at first - it had to connect to its own app - but after doing that once the first time, you don't need to use the app again.

It’s a NO from me.
Doesn’t really work on hats for infusible ink. The ham is great, but not worth that much money.

Why does it need the App

Hat press
The hat press made it so much easier to press a hat. It made it fit perfectly with the padding ball it came with.

Simple to use
Super simple to set up the app on my phone. Made two test hats( regular snd trucker) and both turned out beautifully! Very excited to use this for creating fun headwear for the family!

Making original hats is fun for the kids!
I really am getting the hang out of this hat Press. I had to watch some YouTube videos. But. Now
I'm making some pretty cool hats. And I now know you need to use heat tape to hold it down while you use it!

Great Hat Press for Iron-On Patches!
The Cricut Hat Press has worked great for my needs. I love finding vintage patches, and this hat press works great for adhering iron-on patches to hats. So stoked on this hat press!

Hat press
I used my hat press for the first time 2 days ago. I worked really well. I sometimes had trouble heating the htv close to the brim of the hat.

You need an app
Never got to actually use it. Requiring an app to use a heat press is ridiculous and the app won't even open and let me use it!

Fishing!
I love making hats for everyone to match for our trips. I am going to see my uncles in Florida and they love to fish, so I made each one a fishing hat! I know they will love them!

Cricut "Bluetooth" Hat Press with Form
I have never used a hat press before. Just a mini press and rolled up towel. This was so amazing! I tubed my son's truck and grandson's car, then I uploaded to Design Space, then I was able to make both "truckers hat". They turned out so great! The press is so easy to use and the directions were easy to follow. However, I didn't follow the "t-shirt Transfer" recomm...

Excellent travel companion
Very good hat press. Heats evenly. Much better and more durable than the manual hat press! Price was right! Would buy again!

Cricut Hat Press
I purchased another brand of hat press and it wasn’t as easy to use as the Cricut Hat Press. I love the phone ap for selecting the settings and the timer. It works great. Highly recommend.
