I haven't been able to find fly swatters that are like the ones I used when I was young and was very pleased that these were fashioned the same way.

I bought 2 of these a month ago. They will not kill a house fly. You swat the fly and it escapes thru the openings in the swatter. Terrible design, and now I have 2 worthless fly swatters!!☹️ How about a replacement with a swatter that will work??!!
