Best Wet Erase for TTRPG Mats
Not the intended use but these work amazing on vinyl mats for TTRPGs if you treat them as "wet erase". You can draw maps easily, the colors come off cleanly with water and they don't "dry erase" very much at all so little to no smudging. The only criticism is the colors are a little light but not bad. If they ever rebrand this formulation please let me know.

Requires cleaning spray
I would not recommend these. A standard dry erase eraser will not clean the white board when these markers are used. You must use cleaner which is very inconvenient and not why I purchased them. If this is how they were intended to be used, a note should be on the packages so that buyers be informed.

Response from Staples :
We love seeing creative ways people enjoy our products, and we’re glad the Crayola Washable Dry-Erase Markers worked out well for you. Since these markers are formulated specifically for standard dry-erase boards, results can vary on other surfaces. For anyone experimenting with them beyond that intended use, we always suggest a quick spot test first. Thanks for your support!

Disappointing
I was very excited to try these, but unfortunately they do not erase well. I have tried them on student whiteboards and on my classroom whiteboard. They leave big streaks or only faintly erase, leaving what was written still visible.

Response from Staples :
Thank you for sharing your experience with the Crayola Washable Dry-Erase Markers. We are sorry your excitement with these markers turned to frustration. Our team has a cleaning tip for you to try! As with all of our recommendations, try it in an inconspicuous area first to ensure you are pleased with the results on your surface.
Cleaning Supplies: Whiteboard Cleaner (any brand) | All-Purpose Cleaner | Rubbing Alcohol | Clorox® Clean-Up® Cleaner (spray bottle)
Suggestion: Wipe all stains with a whiteboard cleaner according to the directions on the container. If any stain remains, apply all purpose cleaner according to the directions on the container. If the stain persists, saturate a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol, blot the remaining stain and rinse. Or, you may use Clorox Clean-Up (spray bottle) according to the directions on the container. You may also try the following: Use another color dry-erase marker over the stain and wipe off while ink is still wet. Sometimes, using another color marker over the color, lifts the under color when erased.
If whiteboard surface is porcelain, the dry-erase markers should erase easily. If the whiteboard surface is laminated, use the suggestion provided. Do not use Soft Scrub or any abrasive cleaner.
If our tip doesn't do the trick, please contact us at 1-800-CRAYOLA, so we can learn more and help you further. - Chris, Colorful Care Team

Expected better
I expected better from crayola. The colors are pretty muted and they don't really erase. They mostly smudge... They don't have the dry erase smell but that's about all it has going for it.
