Worst product from Staples
Staples sold an old defective item. The monitor lacks sharpness. I tried connecting with different macs and also windows laptops, but the sharpness is very poor and the words appear hazy. I didn't open the box for few months, since I was out and brought during the thanksgiving festival season. But, I now regret, it was the worst buy and waste of money.

I was going to order a 24" monitor that was advertised to have as a spare but Staples was out of stock on the sale item I had selected. This Acer EK271 was offered as an alternative, although the price was $20 higher than the 24" I was looking at. Wonderful value for an excellent monitor
The monitor is simple without frills meaning there are no speakers and stand is not adjustable. The color and contrast are very good. It was automatically installed by Windows by simply connecting cables and starting computer. It is a great value for the price.

Nice monitor
Had to buy a new computer and my old monitor would not hook up to the new computer so I needed to purchase a new monitor. Set up was easy. I would have liked to have a longer cord though. It is a big improvement over my old monitor. I hope it lasts as long as my old one.

Used as a second monitor
The only thing I don't like is the "JOY STICK" to make adjustments on the back. But along with the on off button. I wish the on/off was with in reach on the front, or at least under the front edge, otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

bought a new HP computer and this to go with my new HP computer because i just like Acer monitors. gut at the store had to order them because they were out of stock. when i went to pick them up, the monitor had as ding in the box. manager said it would ok. when i tried to hook it up i got nothing! hooked my older Acer up to the new computer and it worked fine, so ...
