We hear you on the adaptive brightness problem — it can be particularly disruptive when the screen stays bright at night despite your settings. Here are a few things that may help:
For adaptive brightness: Go to Settings > Display & Brightness and toggle adaptive brightness off, then back on. You can also manually set a lower brightness level for nighttime by swiping down from the top of the screen and adjusting the brightness slider directly.
For slow performance: Try a soft reset by holding the Mute button and the Volume Down button simultaneously for 20 seconds. This can help clear temporary issues without a full factory reset.
For persistent brightness issues at night: Check if Do Not Disturb is enabled under Settings > Sounds & Notifications, and also review any scheduled routines in the Alexa app that may be overriding your display settings.

Who keeps sending these with wrong address?????
Sent to wrong address 3 times. I had updated my address online 3 times, still went to old address. I still have box #3 on my table to return. No name, but wrong street address. Return address has my name and company address.

Echo is a perfect name
I purchased these to be able to talk to my team from our different offices. Unfortunately, they were slow, glitchy, and there was a ton of feedback. Perhaps we were too close together, but it just didn't work out for us. I am sure they'd be fine having just one in your home and using it to talk to someone in a nother space. Cannot be set up/used without access to a cell phone.
Contrary to information provided, in Canada, this can’t be set up and used if the person doesn’t have a cell phone. I purchased it for an elderly deaf family member so that we could video call easily. Very frustrating and disappointing.

Excellent product
I purchased this today and was surprised at how small it was but when I got it set up it is actually better than I thought. Love this!
I absolutely love my echo show! I love that I can listen to music and books or check the weather, also use it for a camera and connect it to other systems like your thermostat and lights and my ring camera. Very happy with this device.

Great quality
The Echo Show 5 has great quality picture and an easy to use touchscreen. Setting up, syncing and connecting to Wi-fi was easy. I was also pleasantly surprised with the quality of the speakers. It speaks and plays music much louder than I expected.

This echo show has shrunk in size compared to my old one. The sound is a clear. It's very simple to set up it walks you right through it. Now on top is a couple buttons. Very pleased with Alexa Show!
We have several Alexa’s throughout our house, but the show is our favorite because you have the opportunity to use it multi functionally. We use one in the kitchen for recipes, and have one in each of the bedrooms for your generic alarms or music playing. My daughter and I have been sharing this and are mostly happy with it. We both use it to watch videos while cooking and cleaning. The size is perfect for sitting on the kitchen counter and not taking up too much space.
