Scanning my parent's years of photos for my family and me.
I bought this just a couple weeks ago and I have already scanned 591 pictures. Yes, I have plenty of time on my hands, but the large screen and easy to use allows me to hit this in high gear to get the large project finished one day. Boy, getting to see the light at the end of the tunnel with this scanner is awesome. WELL WORTH THE MONEY!!

Quality disappointing
Poorly made
All plastic construction easily breakable.
Connector on printer flimsy will break just a matter of time.
Should have had a three prong power cord.
Would not recommend.

extremely disappointed
the quality of this scanner is lacking. the lack of choices is sad.. This is not compatible with my Mac. Garbage
I have spent hours trying to get the scanner to work. Too bad I had not read the negative reviews first. And it is beyond the return period!!!! ugh!

Epson Perfection V39 II Flatbed Portable Photo Scanner
This V39 Scanner is replacing an Epson V600 Photo Scanner. After I got the V39 dialed in, it is working its name well, Perfection. No power cords to worry about. Quality is excellent. The V39 software works very well & integrates with my other Epson printers/scanners. After a couple weeks of solid use, I can highly recommend this with Windows 11. Good job.

Only color photos?
Bought today, easy to set up but it DOES NOT scan black & white photos! I would not have purchased it if I had known. Stupid to think a photo scanner would do black and white pictures.

The scanner doesn't consistently connect to the computer. The light turns on but the computer can't detect the scanner. Even when the USB is connected to the computer. Very frustrating

A good value for the price; have used it in Linux
I am especially glad I can use it in Linux [Ubuntu Jammy Jellyfish v22.04.3 LTS using MATE].

Good cheap scanner
If you need a scanner for occasional use, you can't go wrong with this one! I needed to replace my "ever-so-old" Microtek 5600, but since I use a scanner maybe once a month, I didn't want to spend a ton. The Epson is cheaply built, but it's easy to install and use. perfect fit
Having a crowded desktop area, this works perfectly. Due to its size and requiring only a USB connection, I can scan from my lap or any nearby almost flat surface. More importantly, it does an excellent job on old and mistreated snapshots. The accompanying photo was taken in 1990 on a camera that I don't remember, and the color and detail are very well preserved.
