Easy and Perfect
When my Nighthawk was at its end of service, I opted for RT-AX55. Easy to install and its been perfect so far.

Unable to use with a digital mixer
Unable to use with digital mixer. We need to be able to use it without connecting to the internet. Every time we try we get a pop up telling us we have to plug in the ethernet port for the internet. When we try to enter the ip address of the mixer we are told we must connect to the internet. This router is a huge disappointment.

Great Item and a name brand.
I had always used another manufacture's router. I was a bit Leary on getting another brand. I purchased the Asus RT-AX55 now going on two years. My new WiFi Router
The router performs well. It gives my in-home wifi network the same coverage and speed no matter what level you are on in my two-story home (2700 sq ft). Great value for price point. Easy to setup and sync with your modem and internet. The graphics and data provided through app are exceptional.

From bad to worse
Would not automatically or manually set-up. The unit would not recogize or could not be recognized by wi-fi devices. Attempted to contact their so-called 24-7 assistance but the line claimed it was temporarily under construction. The unit looks nice is about all I can claim is nice.

To resolve, please verify if the router’s settings matches with your ISP’s modem credentials, verify if the PC or device connecting to the router is working properly and within range to the router. The router is within 30 feet to the ISP's modem, if not wired with a network cable, and ISP's internet service or connection is working properly or stable. Legacy devices may not work properly with WIFI6, please check updates for these devices. Also, try connecting this manually to either 2.4GHz or 5GHz. Additionally, we recommend updating the Mesh router firmware if it is running with an older version. Nice Router for the Home Office
I bought this router 3 weeks ago to replace and older unit. The older unit is also a ASUS router (AC-3100). Nothing wrong with the old unit, I'm just kind of a tech junkie and I like to stay current with my hardware. I will probably set up a mesh network using the AC-3100 as a node off the RT-AX57.

Solid features, straightforward setup & mesh
We had a Verizon coax router and secondary which (despite assurances) were NOT a "self-organizing network." Since I had used ASUS motherboards and routers in the past, I got this RT-AX55 and an RT-AX1800S for the AImesh feature. It seems to do what it’s made for just wish it had a longer electric plug because where I had my other this one the lead wire is too short

ASUS RT-AX55 Wifi 6 router
Great router, however the wireless signal is not strong enough to get the same speed in an adjacent room compared to an Ethernet connection. It drops by 90%.
However, it is better than the Spectrum wireless router, which I gave back to Spectrum.

works fine, but missing items
Great WiFi coverage, but as a replacement for an older ASUS router, I lost capability too. I maintained a shared storage using the dual USB ports on my previous RT-AC68 router, but those ports are not present on the RT-AX55. Other than that the porting was a breeze.

App won't let me log in, says incorrect login
Since having this installed by my local provider it continues to buffer when trying to watch television that is 10 feet away.

To resolve the unstable connection, please verify the PC or device connecting to the router is working properly and within range to the router, the router is within 30 feet to the ISP's modem, if not wired by a network cable, and ISP's internet service or connection is working properly or stable. Check your ISP information and ensure that your WAN settings in the router's setup page are correct. Try resetting the mesh router and reconfigure the devices. Also we recommend updating the Mesh router firmware if it running with an older version. To be able to setup the router for local area network only, without internet, please access the router's setting page, navigate to the "Operation Mode" setion, and select "Access Point(AP)" mode, this will disable the router's WAN functionality and allow devices to connect withon your local network. Additionally, you will need to configure the desired SSID and password for your local WIFI network.
