Please note when your canister is filled, the powder does indeed fill most of the space in the canister - the powder naturally settles over time. Each canister includes a small mark labeled "Fill Line" located at the edge of the product label. The products are filled by weight rather than volume. As for opening the canister, we do not recommend using anything sharp like a knife or scissors to open your packaging. If you would like to use a tool to aid in breaking the perforations, we recommend that you gently use the back of a spoon or a butter knife to pre-break the perforations on the lid. If you can pre-break the some of the perforated line, this should allow you to lift the lid with more ease.
