Works Really Well
Returned the first shredder because it was unreliable, overheated/shut off and really cheap! Found this one the same day and it was a workhorse! Very pleased with this shredder.

Broken top and overall plastic very flimsy
I would not recommend. Was not well constructed compared to the Fellowes units.

Poor quality
I received this unit as a replacement from other shredder that was under warranty.
The Staples 12-Sheet Micro-Cut Multi-Media Shredder (ST62153) is not the same quality compared with the old one. It's obvious a step down.

mostly very good
the only issues are choking on folded paper, and the narrow slit opening which makes multiple papers at once aggravating. Otherwise, very good.

Perfect at shredding. Plastic parts break
The plastic housing is not well designed. Hard to insert and close the drawer. When inserting the wheels pieces of plastic snapped off. It still can't roll but who knows how long.

I love my shredder so far so good. I have not had one issue with that. It’s been very well done everything at the little lady manager. Haley told me it would be and I just wanna thank her for helping me pick it out her and the young cashier, I don’t know the cashier‘s name. I only know the managers at Staples.

Flawed Design on this shredder
The shredder part of this device is sturdy and should handle medium-duty shredding very well. But the bin is flimsy and fragile. It arrived broken in such a way that I had to rig the shredder just to get it to turn on. For the price I paid, the bin should have been made far less brittle and flimsy.

Small but powerful
I bought this to replace a larger model. I like that it is significantly smaller and I don't need to lift the motor out to empty the bin...the bin slides out with the motor remaining in place. That was a huge selling feature for me as it was heavy and awkward. I was also pleasantly surprised that the cover slides closed ... eliminating the ugly blades and making it safe...

Great Shredder
Shredded through my stack of papers quickly since I could put so many in at once. Reduced them to very small pieces which reduced the size of package for recycling.

Shredder has panel on top to slide close. When you open it the shredder automatically goes on. You must slide the top closed to shut it off.
Directions suggests keeping it unplugged until you need to use.
I keep it plugged in with the panel closed since it is used daily and we have no small children using the shredder.
