Why not motorised!
Real shame this set is not motorised. A massive oversight by Lego and very disappointing!

An Excellent Train Set for Play and Display
This set improves on the long list of HOGWARTS EXPRESS trains in every way. 1st, it gives 2 (albeit shorter) passenger cars vs 1, and their proportions are ok because of the small windows, which make the scale look better. 2nd, the locomotive and tender are small but very nicely shaped. Older models were usually very tall or blocky, and this one does not have that issue...

Everything is AWESOME
Love my Hogwarts train and Hogsmeade Station kit. Goes well with other Harry Potter / Hogwarts items especially The Great Hall.

Fun set!
Did this set as a sort of countdown to Christmas (although there are only 8 bags). Used the app to build for the first time and it made it more interactive. It was a fun set to build. It would have been nice if there was steam coming out of the train like the holiday train set has.

Great challenge
This was a good product with great instructions. Had 2 pieces missing but have backup spares. Do need better pictures like show the side to put things on

Great set for extending our HP world
My daughter wanted this set to extend her HP collection. She added it to the Hogsmead set and loves it.

Top Train
I love the design and detail. This set is a great addition to my collection. zit obviously fits with other Harry Potter builds, but will also work with my Christmas display.

Amazing addition
So cute. Amazing addition. Simple but does what it says it does. It is a tad small but nice as a display piece. I didn’t bother with the track pieces as they took up too much room. The set could have done without them and offered to let us buy them if wanted

A little over rated
The product was over rated for the price. Seemed larger and grander by reviews and image vs what the output was once built. Took 3 hours ro finish it end to end. For 200 I just expected more

Needs more
Train interior does not fit trolley. Needs station staff for office and platform. Train worker too tall for cab with cap on. Needs one more Train track for Train to fit.

Adding Powered UP Train Motor
Added Hub 88009 and train motor 88011 this required slight modification to the coal tender to fit them both in, works well with the remote or the powered up app as long as you connect the motor to port A on the Hub you can use any of the powered up trains in the app

It's a Christmas gift
I haven't opened or built it as it's a gift. However, it looks really cool and I can't wait to gift it! She will love it! The receiver is a huge Harry Potter fan and a huge lego fan and has several Harry Potter sets - however even if one is not a Harry Potter fan, this set will delight!
