More Than Meets the Eye
I spent 5 HRS building it since I want to cherish the building process.. it reminds me when I was watching G1 episodes wishing that I have an Optimus Prime toy... now that I can afford it.. after soo many years.. Really annoyed
I am seriously dissapointwd with this set. This thing costs £150 pounds yet hold together horribly. Pieces fall off constantly and I've had 2 instances of the whole model breaking in half and 1 of these times the upper half completely broke. From a company who's slogan is "Only the best is good enough" I can't believe I paid so much money for it. It looks really good on...

Breaks whenever you transform
I’m extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with this set. I’ve purchased many lego sets before, including others with “moving parts” (technic vehicles, star wars ships, etc.) and this set is by far the flimsiest. It transforms!
Had to grab this guy. Who could ever resist a transformable transformer in LEGO?!.
Lovely to buildd. Should have better posability, especially in the legs. There are nice mods on there so for those who buys this and wants more of the set, google it!

A truly joyful experience
As both a Transformers and LEGO fan, I have to say that this is a beautiful piece, each of the steps that this set takes you through is a dream come true accompanied by the fun facts that you will find in the instructions manual. I highly recommend this set to any one that really enjoys Transformers and a pleasant building experience. 10/10.

Fantastic (with some minor tweaks)
This is a great build. Like real old school Lego and Transformers vibes across it.
I changed it slightly I included red side clips for the Matrix of Leadership to hold it in place, with the original it just falls out when the chest is open. With this small change it looks more impressive on display or messing with it.

Great Addition
This was a fun and easy build. Easy to transform from Truck to Optimus as well. Can’t wait til Soundwave comes out!

Legs just fall apart
Can finish it with the legs fall apart putting the jet pack on legs fall apart. Putting the gun in his hand legos fall apart

The worst design
Really, if you can't design something well with lego, then don't. This garbage is so fragile that as long as you touch it, it'll disassemble into pieces. Transform? Are you kidding me? It barely stands as a statue.

Awesome crossover, frustrating design.
The legs pop off easily. I wish you could pose the legs and torso differently, you have to keep it in the same position which puts the chest at a weird angle, if you try to adjust it, it'll fall apart at the hip area.

Love this one, but.....
First - the pictures of the dark blue and black pieces on the dark gray paper were VERY hard to see. More light gave it glare. REALLY difficult.
Many of the pictures didn't make clear exactly where
something was supposed to go.
Love the look of the finished product. After all the reviews, we're pretty nervous about transforming it. We'll get there - just going to enjoy...

I liked it, it just can't stay together
The actual build is great, it's got great posablility, looks awesome, and is very accurate to source material. However the connections aren't very strong when transforming. I'd say the set is pretty worth it, the only issue is the transformation process.

This is the set I have been waiting for
This set is the set for all transformers fans. Of course there is the flaws of the 1/2 gap on the face and the no knee joint situation, but if you know how to do it, you can easily get that done. That's what I did (see the images below) absolutely perfect for you giant robots display

Great but not sure about the jet pack
Loved building Optimus Prime. Like most reviews I too was reliving my childhood. the jet pack just doesn’t seem to fit the build. Might have been an error on my behalf but for the life of me I can’t see where I’ve made an error on the build.
