Works exactly as described.
My last one died after 6 years... well it didn't die, it slowly started to get hot at one point and it was turning brown there. I was happy with how long it lasted and decided to just get another of the same.

Sadly, must return
I ordered two Apple accessories for my iPhone.. One works very well, but unfortunately this cable did not work properly. I kept getting messages that my laptop did not recognize my iPhone when I used this cable. Despite googling various sites to rectify the problem including using different ports, the cable did not work.

Apple charger cord.
Cord works well but is stiffer than previous Apple cords we’ve bought. Hopefully won’t cause it to crack faster just above where it plugs into device.
