Great purchase

Nice picture and quality, but...
Love the picture and pricing. I have begun to have issues with the tv powering off immediately after turning on. I've also had issues with sound going away and the only way to fix it is to disconnect power to reset the TV. After doing some research these seem to be non-repairable hardware issues.

Wonderful upgrade

Beautiful picture problematic operating system
The operating system is so bulky I can almost not log onto my Xfinity account. Everything is super slow and a real pain in my rear end.

Happy, not happy

Perfect Picture
I have watched different sporting events, played different games, and streamed quite a number of different apps and shows on my television and it seems the longer I watch the picture and sound get better on the device. I can not be happier with my purchase.

Great Picture! Great Value!
I love the clarity, sharpness, depth of blacks and vivid colors. So much better than my previous TV. I can’t say enough about the quality, color and general view of this tv.

Brilliant, except for low light scenes
We use the TV in the family room, so it’s the main TV viewed by everyone at home.
Everything else is fine, but the low light scenes are impossible to watch on this TV. Black color is one a dark hole … everything disappears in it and you can barely see anything.

We appreciate your input on the picture quality of Samsung's S85D TV. If the image you’re seeing doesn't meet your expectations, there are several adjustments you can make to the picture settings.
Go to Home > Menu > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
...and select the mode that best fits your usage:
1. Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments
2. Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments
3. Eco: Provided to save energy
4. Movie: Suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room
5. Filmmaker Mode: Provides source content just as the creators intended. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it’ll automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.
Intelligent Mode enables the TV to recognize and analyze the surroundings, noise, content, and your usage patterns to provide the best viewing experience. You can enable Intelligent Mode by going to Menu > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Intelligent Mode Settings > Intelligent Mode.

Awesome connectivity with laptops
