Phenom machine!
Great machine. Perfect for the starter or occasional sewist. The s a really wise purchase for anyone wanting to begin sewing or someone who needs a reliable machine but dies not want to pay for newest bells and whistles or electronic machines.

It doesn’t seem to line up correctly.
Self threader does not work. I took it out of the box set up, and it doesn’t line up. There’s I want to return it. I emailed and haven’t got a response

Quick start up
First two projects on new machine were with challenging fabrics and deadlines. Handled fleece and silky fabrics without any tension issues or adjustments needed! Deadlines met!😁i

Not beginner-friendly
I thought I was buying a good machine for beginners, based on reviews, but I've found the whole experience ovrrwhelming. The instructions aren't super clear. I was able to do couple test runs that worked well, but then the stitches just stopped catching. Works great when it works. Expect frequent jams.
I bought this machine during covid. I have had it repaired every year for the same reason. The excessive lint causing the thread to get entangled. This leads to a thrown off timer, jumping bottom stitches. The automatic button holer is also and issue and source of frustration. Would I buy another brother probably, just with apprehension.

All the bells and whistles, very easy to use!
Love this brother!! Just found the handy dandy thread cutter on the side, easy to thread, quiet and fast. Great value for the price.

Great Sewing Machine
This sewing machine is simple and straightforward, nothing computerized; it is easy to use and has specific instructions included for something that .ight need clarification. I've used the Brother sewing machine for a few months and its meeting expectations. The only thing that I would change would be to have a stronger light. Oherwise I'm very happy with the machine.

Good basic machine
I am a casual sewer I do not make my own clothing. I just do basic mending and hemming. However I will say this sewing machine is very very easy to use. The dials are clear and concise. My only issue is when you take the pressure off your foot, the needle does not plunge back into the fabric. That's a very nice to have as it was on my last sewing machine

It sucks and your company did not do a thing.
It's a beast to deal with and within 7 months the tension cannot be set anymore.

necessary improvements
Have the bobbin cover attached rather than a separate piece and have the stitches easier to switch/change. Still have not figured out how to switch to the design/embroidery stitches on this machine.

Terrible machine!
This is the worst sewing machine I have ever tried to sew on. Every step of threading the top thread and the bobbin is unnecessarily complex and gimmicky. The light is extremely bright making for more glare off the metal parts than useful light. I dread setting this machine up and avoid sewing projects that I used to love.
