Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Thank you for sharing your review here. We're sorry to hear that you've encountered some suction or pick-up issues with your Ball Animal 3. That's uncommon to hear; Ball Animal 3 offers 290 air watts of strong suction power, and these models were also engineered to be effective in homes with pets. It's disappointing to know that we seem to have fallen short here. Your Anti-tangle Motorbar cleaner head does have suction control. The three levels of suction are controlled by the slider on the front of the cleaner head, and you can slide that suction control to suit the floor type or debris you're picking up. If you do find that pet hair is getting left behind, you can position the slider to the left, center or right, depending on your needs. Hello Petra, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're so disheartened to hear that you've found your recent purchase of the Ball Animal 3 to be so disappointing. This is a full size upright vacuum, and the weight is just over 17 pounds, which is on par with the majority of our other uprights. We wouldn't expect that the machine is so heavy, that it's completely unbearable to use, but are sorry that seems to have been your experience. There should not be any parts on your machine that have broken after just two uses, and we'd like to learn more about this, and make things right. We would not expect this to be your experience. The Ball Animal 3 is bigger than the predecessor, but it still features the Dyson Ball technology that makes it easily maneuverable around obstacles. Hi Dave, this is Kelly with Dyson. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and feedback. We love to hear and learn from our owners. With regard to the hose on your Ball Animal 3, our hoses are generally pretty stiff right out of the box. They will loosen up over time, eventually becoming more flexible or pliable. You can fully outstretch the hose and leave it stretched like that over night - this can help it to relax some and become a bit easier to use. You might find that when you are vacuuming surfaces such as area rugs or mats, that are not fixed down to the flooring underneath, that it's hard to do so, due to the powerful suction this unit provides. The cleaner head will form a tight seal to the flooring underneath. You may find that by adjusting the slider to the left on the front of the cleaner head will result in an easier maneuverability on those surfaces. Your machine features an Anti-tangle Motorbar™ cleaner head, with suction control. The three levels of suction are controlled by the slider on the front of the cleaner head. Slide the suction control to suit the floor type, either positioning the slider left, center or to the right. The operational weight of this vacuum is on par with our other full size upright machines. If you're finding the vacuum hard to push or maneuver, even after adjusting the slider, it could be a compatibility issue with your flooring. We always suggest checking with your carpet maker to see what guidelines they may have regarding suction power or use of a spinning brush bar.
