The Sauder bookcase we purchased was quick and easy to assemble. It is even reasonably sturdy... considering it's pressboard. I would buy this again. 👍🏻

Complicated
Instructions are hard to follow and I had to reorder a part due missing the holes required to insert another part.

Not a reliable shelf
Even if you assemble this perfectly it still won’t feel stable. The parts are not great quality and even after assembly it doesn’t feel stable. After building this shelf I tried to move it and the shelf broke even though two of us were very careful moving it. Also the base isn’t very stable as there is a gap between the bottom of the shelf on the back and the floor. ...

Looks good but God awful Assembly
The bookshelf looks good once it's assembled but the setup of the instructions was just awful.Instead of putting every screw and separated bags with steps ABC they put it all in one bag every screw looks the exact same and they didn't label half these parts. reasonable good bookshelves with one flaw
When putting the screws into the trim piece on the top they went through and penetrated the top of the shelving unit. This should not have happened either the screws were too long or the countersinks were too deep. This is the most visible surface on the shelves. If I had used a shorter screw than provided these would have gotten 5 stars.

Very happy with purchase
I did not put this together. I had a handyman which has put together many things for me. He just does a better job than me. I really love these bookcases. They were exactly the size style and color I wanted. They look like the photo on the website. They are sturdy and look really nice.
