Second coffee maker that has stopped working.
This is the second Krups 5 cup coffee maker that has stopped working. This one lasted less time than the first. Both times it was a failure of the heating element.

I love this coffee maker and I am fussy
I bought this for myself five years ago and use it every day. Great coffee! Size good for one. I wouldn't give it up for anything. I am on the Krups web site right now to look for a replacement filter.

low quality
had this for 3 months and the heating plate coating is coming off. I have only used a wet towel to clean it. The front metal name plate came out of the box deformed. Quality control should have rejected this. The performance of it is poor. The hot water dumps through the filter basket so quickly that the flavor and quality of the brew is dismal. FRESH COFFEE at last
Nice to have a "clean fresh cup" of coffee not concerned with those smaller plastic cups. Brews very fast I have made 4 cups in under 4 minutes. Coffee is nice and hot and smells so good !

Krups 5 cup coffee drip Maker
This is the third one I have purchased. My coffee pot broke and to purchase a replacement would have cost me $9.00 less than a complete set. So I just replaced the coffee maker. My first one still works. It keeps my coffee warm for hours. I have had no issues at all with the maker. I hope it will always be available for purchase.

Great coffee maker with one flaw
Makes great coffee and keeps it really hot. I like the reusable filter. HOWEVER, the lid will not stay open on its' own making filling the water very awkward. I would not buy another one for this reason.

I had a Kcup machine. Not that good, so I went for a small capacity brewer, Krups 5 cup. The lid gets in the way of pouring the water into the reservoir. I can't seem to put enough ground coffee in the basket to get a good cup of coffee, the general rule being a scoop/tablespoon to the cup. Works well for us
My husband and I make 4 cups each every morning, and we drink different brands of coffee. We do not have a tall area on our countertop for most of the standard size coffee makers, so this one is perfect for us. We have a matching coffee bean grinder as well. We enjoy your superbly engineered products.

I love this little coffee maker!! It's perfect for me on third shift and works like a champ! One thing I highly recommend, as with any appliance, is that you keep it all clean between uses. This means don't leave old used coffee in the filter, clean out the pot with warm soapy water (and dry it off), and clean (and dry!) the burner once it's cooled down after every use!...

Great but lid will not stay up

Simply only for a short time
Had this less than a year and the heating plate is rusted out. May not last much longer. While it is a great size for our upstairs uses, and for a short time makes okay coffee, it is a price to pay for a short time of use. Plus it is very noisy in the brewing. Have always loved krups, but will not buy again.

No auto shut off
I've had previous success with Krups, but not too thrilled with the this coffee maker. First and foremost it does not have auto-shut off, with a high wattage draw, it can easily over heat circuitry. The pour over feature limits easy fill, the lid opens straight up, with little give for emptying the carafe . Sorry krups, not well done.

Disappointing - no auto shutoff
Just purchased specifically because it was described as having an automatic shutoff. It does not shut off automatically!!!!
I will be returning it. I’m very disappointed.

Will not turn on

Disappointed in two of the features of the KM202
First, I have been a very satisfied customer when it came to the 4 cup makers, I have kept a few going for 30 years, until it was difficult, or cost prohibitive, to get the carafes. I purchased the 5 cup thinking it would be just as good, or better, because it makes 5 cups instead, not so. Now to the issues, the carafe and the resevoir design.
