Fun and Novel
My kids love this adorable interactive and clever coloring set. It’s a novel take from. Crayola. I love that the items are washable and reusable, which makes me feel like customers get more bang for their buck. Don’t bounce the spinner or the ink can splatter.

One star! 9 yo rejects it!
This set was difficult to put together and did not work as per the directions. The 9 yo who tried to assemble the pieces tried many times and did not give up. Since it did not work as per the description, the 9 yo said that she would never play with it.

Takes a little practice, but a hit when mastered!
Mastering the Colourwhirls requires some practice, but the reward is well worth the effort. My 8 year old daughter spent over an hour enthusiastically playing with it and was thrilled when she finally got the whirl working. The rip cord was a particular source of excitement. I'd definitely recommend this as a gift. Note that while it's portable, it does need a stable su...

Perfect for multiple kids!
This set comes with everything you need, and a case to store everything. It was a little challenging to learn how to spin the markers at first, but keep trying because once you get it, it’s really fun! Up to 4 markers can go at once, so kids can make a little game out of it and see who’s market spins the fast! The bottom of the case is the board, and it can be wiped cle...

Frustration in the arena
The whole family was excited to try the Colourwhirls Arena but we didn't feel like it lived up to our excitement level. Mom, Dad, and the two kids (ages 11 and 6) gathered to open this fun new Crayola product and struggled to get the markers spinning so that they stayed upright long enough to make any cool designs. We wonder if a design change to the arena would make it...

Thank you for sharing your feedback on the Crayola Colourwhirls Arena! Spinning can take a little practice, and we’ve got a few game-changing tips to make your spins spectacular: pull the ripcord harder and faster for a longer spin, keep the Colourwhirls parallel to the paper, and aim the marker tip close to the surface for better control. You can also check out a demo video and instructions here: https://www.crayola.com/feature/colourwhirls. We hope these tips keep your creativity whirling with color!

Fun but challenging on their own
My daughter would have rated this a 5 if it ran better. By this we mean it was difficult to get it to spin. She’s 8 years old and did get the hang of it but she needed dads help each time. She likes how you can erase the board and color over it again. “It’s more convenient than getting one in a box because it stays in one place and you don’t need more paper all the time...

Excitement for All Ages
The Colorwhirls Arena Set provides hours of unlimited fun as you can play again and again. After practicing a few times to get the hang of spinning the markers myself and my two kids ages 6 & 8 battled against each other. My son who plays with other battling toys loved spinning over and over again. My daughter was set on perfection by making the perfect spirals. Cleanup...

Fun for all ages
The Colourwhirls Arena is so much much! My kids (6, 6, 8, 17) have spent HOURS playing with this so far! It’s takes a few times to get the hang of how it works but once you figure it out you’ll be hooked! I love that the arena is wipe clean, because there’s no waste and it can be used endless times. I would highly recommend this product for kids of all ages!

A lot of fun with some flaws
The packaging is great! It all comes bundled nicely. Daughter is 6 year old and needed help putting the marker holder together. When coloring in the top of the marker holder, it comes off very easily onto your hands when you use it to spin around the arena. The arena is great but make sure to use paper because the seams stop the markers from going across nicely and work...

Fast, fun, unique way to create art
Lots of fun! Took a little time to get the hang of using this, but once my kids did they had a blast with this. They loved seeing the different ways it worked. The marker was easy to clean. But they wanted paper to keep their designs.
Kept them busy for a while. After they took the markers off they played some more. Seeing who's spinner would spin the longest (with...

Fun to prep hard to play
It was cool to put it together, however, it didn’t work like it looked like on the package. They didn’t last long as didn’t leave a cool swirl mark on the bottom. Coloring the decorative part of it the markers didn’t color well, colored pencils don’t work, and some crayons worked. It was also a little difficult for my 9 year old to feed the “cord” through the swirling t...

Perfect for any child!
We loved how this arena came with everything you need for the colorwhirls! It packs up nicely and proves to be relatively mess free! We especially loved that you could use paper or play directly in the arena and wipe it clean when done! My son is 8 and loved that the arena came with 4 colorwhirls so we could all "battle" eachother and see which color would last the long...

Colourwhirls for the Win!
I enjoyed spinning the tops and watching the markers draw the loops and swirls on pieces of paper. I like that I can still play with them in the arena without adding paper. I didn’t really like the ramps as much. Also, the marker did splatter tiny drops of color all over the table and me. Luckily, I was using the Ultra-Clean Washable markers! Everything cleaned up easil...

Messy Fun
Both my kids loved the Colourwhirls Arena. The marker ink gets everywhere, so it is not good for travel. The ink did not clean off easily the first time, more of a smear. My 8-year-old said “it teaches that art can have mistakes and still end up looking good.” The 6-year-old loved aiming for the other spinners. It took more than 5 minutes AFTER watching the tutorial to ...

Ready to play again.
There is a definite learning curve to getting the Colourwhirls to whirl. My 6 year old son played with this for over an hour. He was very excited to use it, especially once he was able to get the make to whirl. He loved using the rip cord. I would give this as a gift. While it has a a handle for easy travel, you need a flat stable surface to use it. I liked that it came...

Fun activity that is all in one.
A really fun set that my 6 year old really enjoyed playing with her parents. She needed a lot of support on how to set up and spin the markers. I do think this may be geared towards an older child. However loved the designs it made and loved how it all stored in one case. Our cat also really enjoyed watching the activity.

Fun and creative play
My four kids loved competing against each other to make the best swirls. It works for individual or group play. My kids were able to clean it up on their own with a wet towel to play again and again on their own. The markers and device could be used on their own or as a self contained kit.

Challenging for 6+, but kids still had fun!
Directions were easy to follow to set up. Being this is advertised for 6+ we had an 8, 6, 5 and 5 year old try. There wasn’t much success in making beautiful spirals, but they claim it was still fun. As adults we felt it didn’t upheld what it’s advertised to be able to do. Not the easiest to do as an adult either. Overall, kids say 4 or 5 stars, but as an adult I rate i...

Colourwhirls arena set
It was a little difficult for my 7 year old boy to put the markers in the tops and tighten them himself. He likes to do things quickly and didn’t like that he needed me to do this part for him. It was very hard to place the cord in the top while allowing the top to spin. The markers smeared on the punch out designs very easily when my son went to punch them out. I d...
