Doesn't follow USB Spec for charging
Excited to have a wireless light that could be charged by USB type c, but even though this uses a type c port you have to use the verilux proprietary cord that can damage other devices if used with them. I was looking forward to not needing a dedicated proprietary charging cable when traveling.

Ok.
This is sort of awkward? i was so psyched for a cordless unit I could move around. But it keeps turning off. I charged it 24 hrs.before use. I set the time as the directions say. And the charge cord is awkward to plug in and take out with the stand. I like the magnetic stand, but it’s awkward for me. Maybe the unit is too light? I guess I am getting old.

Broken after less than a year of use
My light worked for several months, and then has stopped taking a charge. I have lights from Verilux that I have had for many years. I loved this light but unfortunately it didn't last very long

Great light but
I got this a few months ago and have loved using it, however the charger broke already. It just stopped charging. Have tried using it in a few different outlets that I have other working electronics plugged into, so not sure what happened but it's passed the return date now.

Charge only lasts about an hour total.
I like the light, but the charge doesn't last. It takes around 3 hours to charge, but the charge only lasts about an hour total. I thought getting the rechargeable one would make it easier to use, but when it has to be recharged so often, I'll have to use it with the plug it in to get much use out of it. The extra $ for the rechargeable are not worth it.

Great portable Unit
this light is a great size and I like the portability of the unit. it charges quickly and doesn’t take up a lot of room. I like that I can use it is various areas and move it around to where I may be sitting at the time. The timer is a good feature.

updating my review from over a year ago.
I use it constantly and ALWAYS hurt myself, (broke a toe!!!) by it being absolutely too large, being a smooth, featureless hemisphere (only tactile button is the power) and having NO safe gripping surface. I'm shocked it still works after dropping it nearly daily.

Neat light but cord broke already
I received this lamp as a gift a few weeks ago but unfortunately the charging plug has already broken off. I’m not sure how I can get a new one as it’s quite useless without it.

Perfect for flexible use
I never thought a SAD lamp would work for me because my morning routine takes me all through the house. The smart design of this lamp means I can just take it with me. The battery lasts a good long while, I've never run it down. And my plants love it too!

Misleading battery and portability claim.
The HappyLight Halo puts out nice light and I like having the ability to adjust the color temperature. The battery only last for about 30-45 on high making the claim of up to 2 hours of battery life misleading since the recommended therapy is 30 minutes at 10,000 lux. Helpful tool for depression and anxiety
So exciting to find something that can help my friend with their depression and anxiety! Such a great tool for both! Winter blues is a common thing, but for people who have depression and anxiety it is amplified. Great product, highly recommend!

Does not last for two hours
This light is fine but does not stay charged for two hours as described. It lasts for one 30 minute session and then needs to be recharged.

Portable and packed with options
I love the size and portability of this light, and the magnetic stand. Lots of good options for brightness, color value, and timers. My only quibble is that the charging cable is a bit fiddly — needs to be in there just right or it won’t charge.
