Laser printer causes APC to shutdown computer
Laser printers draw a massive spike of power (inrush current) when they warm up. This drop in voltage looks like a "brownout" to the UPS, causing it to switch to battery power immediately. If the spike exceeds the 330W rating of the BN600U1, the Powerchute software will cause the computer to shut down.

Like many other reviewers here I got a refurbished unit. I wish the website was upfront about it instead of pretending it was on sale. Seems underhanded.

Hard at work!!
My UPS was on the job 20 minutes after arrival. If you have ever lost a spread sheet because of a power glitch.....then you understand. I like Quill, I like APC backups! I'll be back!

Just plain works

These are old stock!
The one I received was manufactured in April 2024 and is therefore 1.5 years old meaning that nearly half of its life is already gone. The production date is contained in the serial number on the box and on the QA test tag affixed to the device. Not acceptable and I am returning it.

APC UPS - Been Buying APC for 40 years
Easy to follow set-up instructions. There was information about how to setup automatic PC shutdown if there is a power failure using 3rd party software. Connection cable from the UPS to the PC is included.
