The signal is very good. The sound is decent for a compact/portable radio. With a rechargeble 1900mAh battery, is lasts abouth 1 month with 3-4 hours of use per day.

Good product

Great Radio
I have three of these radios; one for the main floor of the house, one for the porch, and one for my Man Cave in the basement. The all have excellent reception, and the nice large speaker gives a good sound. One of them I have had for over ten years with absolutely no problems. This is the only portable AM/FM radio I am buying from now on. Well worth the price.

Radio does not work when using batteries
The radio will only work when plugged into an outlet. I’ve made sure to use new batteries but radio will work work using only batteries

Please note that the RF-2400 offers two options for power supply: it can be powered either by the included AC power supply cord or by using dry cell batteries (which are not included). Lovely Radio
Portable, small, gets it done. The sound quality is solid. Plug into the wall when you can, 4 AA when you’re on the go. Simple and for the price a good product.

Good attempt with a noisy flaw
We liked- the large diameter speaker driver
We disliked - The constant humming sound (from the tuner) whether on AC or on battery power. It ruins the listening experience. Panasonic technics was solid for audio products in past, please revise the radio with a design update to the tuner upgrade!

Thank you for your review! If you're experiencing a humming noise from the tuner on your RF-2400, it could be due to a few different factors. First, try adjusting the antenna to see if the reception improves and reduces the humming. Also, make sure the radio is placed away from other electronic devices that might cause interference.

Outstanding 2 band DSP
I’ve had this radio for nearly three years (feb 2021) and it’s been everywhere with me. AC cord makes it a great choice for kitchen or bedroom. Out on my property it gives me hours of music while I’m working and the monaural speaker has a loud sound that I can hear on all four lots. Only improvement would be stereo with headphones but Ive got other radios for that.
