I have no problem with the toner, other than cost. I have a problem with the printer, also purchased from Staples, in that it REQUIRES the use of HP toner. There is insufficient notice on the documentation with the printer to warn the consumer. I have never had problems with after market toner cartridges. Runs out of ink very quick
Stay away from any HP that utilizes HP 30A. Ink doesn't last, very small cartridge. Not for heavy volume printing.

I was sorry to hear that the cartridge did not work well for you. That must have been frustrating.
Things that might help you get more prints:
- Make use of the printer's draft mode whenever possible
- If your printer can use them, try the 30X cartridge. It usually is a better value.
